What better way to say โI love you momโ then with some boozy chocolate chip donuts with Hot Blonde icing? ๐ฉ๐ฉ๐ฉ
Chocolate Chip Cake Donuts
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease a donut pan very well and set aside.
Whisk flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, baking powder, both sugars, nutmeg and salt. Add melted butter, eggs and milk and beat until mixture is smooth. Fill donut shells no higher than 2/3 of the way up so they don’t bake over. Bake donuts for 12-13 minutes.
โ2 1/4 cup AP flour
โ3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
โ1 tsp baking soda
โ2 tsp baking powder
โ3/4 cup brown sugar
โ1/4 cup granulated sugar
โ1/4 tsp nutmeg
โ8 tbs butter melted
โ3 eggs
โ1 1/2 cup milk
Hot Blonde Icing
โ2 tbs brewed Cask & Kettle Hot Blonde Coffee prepared at the 6oz setting (you can sip the rest while you bake)
โ1 cup powdered sugar
โ2-3 drops vanilla extract
Whisk glaze ingredients vigorously and apply a generous layer of icing to your baked donuts. Place on a cooling rack and garnish with sprinkles if desired.
